Canon Lide 20 Driver Mac Os X 10.6

If all this fails, it could be just bad drivers on Canon side or more things that fail when upgrading to OS X 10.6 (i.e. Jan 22, 2012 8:23 AM Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Andy Ruina, Andy Ruina Jan 22, 2012 10:48 AM in response to tamboril Level 1 (0 points) CanoScan 300 (2)CanoScan 600 (2)CanoScan 3000F (5)CanoScan 3000ex (5) CanoScan 3200F (8)CanoScan 4200F (6)CanoScan 4400F (7)CanoScan 5000F (9) CanoScan 8000F (8)CanoScan 8400F (8)CanoScan 8600F (7)CanoScan 8800F (6) CanoScan 9900F (8)CanoScan 9950F Best regards and thanks you very much for your help Victoria Reply ↓ MacManus.nl on 23-06-2014 at 22:47 said: @Victoria : Good to hear you have benefitted from SANE to keep have a peek at this web-site

Ok so I have the CanoScan LiDe 55 (which canon doesn't have on their support site). On Linux, you need to set up libusb device protections. According to the directions posted I tried the toolbox first and no go. In that case, you will need to install some generic (FREE) TWAIN-drivers : - for OSX 10.9 Mavericks, download and install these files (in this same order) and restart your Mac after

It's very straight forward scanning and then later I import the folder of scanned photos to my iPhoto Library for editing. This problems seems to be quite common. NOTE THAT BY USING THIS SERVICE YOU WILL KEEP THE REPLACEMENT PRODUCT THAT IS SENT TO YOU. You can try follow some of the links and see if any of them lead to a solution. I have also installed the demo of VueScan, as well as MF Toolbox from canon as well, with no positive results. My scanner keeps squeaking like mad, but does the job anyway.

The only SANE I'm pulling up in a master search are the installer packages in my downloads folder. I was primarily responding to the OP. But now I’ve Windows 8, I can’t seem to install it, since Canon doesn’t update the drivers anymore. http://download.cnet.com/Canon-CanoScan-LiDE-20/3000-2118_4-27045.html But now I think it was money well spent.

Maybe if a few of us were willing to pony up a tenner he may oblige! I don't use the scanner very often but if I did, I would probably just buy a Canoscan LIDE 110 or 210, both quite keenly priced on Amazon and both with IBM Logo Log In Feedback Drivers & Downloads Product Registration Contact × Your Account Login Create an Account Check your order, save products & fast registration all with a Canon Account If nothing shows up… try re-installing the SANE components again, and make sure you are following the instructions to the letter !

Any ideas? Check This Out I downloaded and installed the four files from your links in the order you suggested but it still doesn't show up in the print/scan preferences. SANE was then accessible in both Adobe Photoshop CS6 (where I had installed Adobe’s TWAIN plugin to no avail) and in Image Capture. (It had always been accessible in Acrobat Pro.)". TryHandbrake Blog at WordPress.com. However, when I check System Information > USB, the CanoScan is listed. For those interested in copying your solution, it might be worth to look into Oracle's Virtualbox as a FREE alternative to Parallels. Oh well, I think old drivers are good enough although it needs Rosetta. If using a display profile that is exclusively for your monitor, just obtain the profile again, then install it in the designated folder.

Maybe this can help.

If the preview-scan seems okay, but the final scan is corrupted, it might also have to do with the connection. Hope others find this tip useful.
