The Image Capture just doesn't recognize any scanners of cameras to be connected.[I did reboot].A couple of questions: I wonder if the scanner needs to disconnected from the MAC until after A list of supported scanners for OSX 10.9 Mavericks can be found here. As you found out VueScan is a valid option if you have an old scanner, but it's rather expensive considered that can get a brand new (basic) scanner for the same But now I've bought a new Mac which runs OSX 10.10 Yosemite, I can't seem to install it, since Canon doesn't update the drivers anymore. this has worked on my canon Lide 20 on Yosemite.

i am a cartoonist and need this software badly! Then running the xp virtual machine and installing the canoscan drivers into the virtual drive as you normally would with xp. Which folders do they get installed into? I also somehow missed the link ot Alex Schneider's app, so just tried it, but it won't detect the scanner (I can't find any info on the app at all, so

your solution might be in there… for instance : the reinstalling of the TWAINbridge.app usually works for Canon scanners, but it might also work for your HP scanner… good luck ! Just a little hint for all the other Germans like me who happen to end up on your site: Image Capture is called "Digitale Bilder" in german.
