This issue has arisen due to the 10.6.7 update. Just have a customer that can't print with his OT CI-Font Rockwell anymore. (On a Fiery RIP that is)Until I read this, I thought it really could be something with the Certain files and directories are deleted when using the Reset Printing System option. From the Print dialog change from the Preview menu to Special Features and under the image of the Canon printer, press the Printer Info button.
I've also tried sharing the printer from my company issued PC and printing that way, but have been unable to make that work as well. My older MacBook Pro 17 Inch worked fine with this printer.
This particular setting has always seemed to work until this last couple of weeks. It did indicate that there were "18 missing files and/or directories found during the verification process. Enter the IP address of the 2880, leave the Queue Name blank and in the Print Using menu select the 'Canon iR C2880/C3380 UFR II (US)'.Once the queue is created open weblink I read through all the archives and couldn't figure out how to make this work.
You may not distribute the Software for profit or modify it in any way. Judging from the rest of the printing forum, 10.6.7 seems to have destroyed people printing to Canon printers. And it has affected Canon's proprietary UFR2, CAPT and IPF (GARO) drivers. Open Finder and navigate to HD > Library > Printers > Canon > and delete the UFR2 folder.3. After researching your thread, I changed to "Raster" mode in "Quality" instead of the preselected "UFC II".Printing worked wonderfully after that.
